(Revised 7/01 ML #2697)
TANF managers work with TANF households to assess family strengths and barriers to self-sufficiency. Once strengths and barriers are identified, TANF managers work with the household to identify goals and break these goals down to manageable tasks and set time lines for households to complete tasks while working towards self-sufficiency. TANF managers are supportive as the household takes the responsibility to complete the tasks agreed upon as a result of the assessment.
