Monitoring Progress Toward Goals 400-17-30-30

(Revised 7/01 ML #2697)

TANF managers are to meet with the households to review the social contract and the progress made on addressing goals identified in the assessment. The frequency of these contacts varies with households. As monthly reports are received, a check on the progress toward goals may be appropriate. The frequency of the monitoring may also be agreed upon in the social contract when it is developed between the TANF manager and the household.

The purpose of the monitoring is to review progress on goals and tasks, to identify any new goals and develop appropriate tasks, to review any progress made towards self-sufficiency, and discuss any problems or barriers that have arisen. In addition to the monitoring, a full assessment and contract is done annually.
